I have a large backpack and camera gear. How manageable is the train journey with luggage?

Trains have overhead racks and some space under seats, but space is limited. Keep valuables and essentials in a small daypack with you. For a large backpack, try to get it on an overhead rack or against the wall. 2nd class has more space than 3rd class. The journey involves changes at some stations — factor in time and help with luggage if needed. Many travelers manage fine with backpacks, but it's more comfortable with less luggage. If you have very bulky or heavy gear, a private driver might be worth considering for this route. Stations have porters if you need help carrying bags.

Manageable but tight. Keep essentials with you and use overhead racks. Porters are available at stations if needed.
