The wind at Adams Bridge is relentless right now, a true flat-water paradise! Because Mannar is not heavily commercialized, you will not find fancy tourist restaurants. The absolute best crab curry is found by requesting it at your local guesthouse a day in advance. The locals buy the crab straight from the lagoon fishermen and cook it with heavy moringa and fiery northern spices.

Bring a smaller kite than you think you need. The Venturi effect between the islands makes the wind blow a lot stronger than the forecast predicts!
