The standard entrance ticket for foreign tourists to access the observation deck of the Colombo Lotus Tower currently costs 20 USD. This grants you access to the spectacular open air viewing platform.
If you want to experience the revolving restaurant at the top, you must book that separately. It usually costs around 40 to 50 USD for the massive international buffet, which naturally includes the spectacular panoramic city views.

Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
