Luggage space in a standard rental tuk tuk is extremely limited. The small storage shelf directly behind the rear passenger seat can only comfortably hold two medium sized backpacks or one medium suitcase.
If you plan to rent a tuk tuk for a month, highly consider traveling light with soft backpacks. You can securely strap a backpack to the external rear luggage rack using bungee cords, freeing up vital legroom inside.
If you have two passengers and two massive, hard shell check in suitcases, they will absolutely not fit. You would have to wedge one suitcase awkwardly between the passengers, making the long journey incredibly uncomfortable.
