Temple is still a white wall of light. Our lane is ordinary orange street lamps. Partner says as long as the floodlights are on, Dalada is still "event." I say the orange lamps mean CEB and we can walk it. Which light is the signal.

Floodlights on the Maligawa are a building, not a traffic plan. They stay on after the loop. Municipal lamps coming back means the lane has lighting, not that Dalada is a carriageway. Tape and uniforms are the signal. Lights are not.

If there is still a cone or a jeep, it is not open. Do not treat a floodlit facade as an invitation to walk the relic street like a stadium.

Queen's was still floodlit at 10 and we still got waved off the road. Inland orange lamps were just lamps.
