The main streets around Gangaramaya are too crowded. Are there any hidden gem temples in Colombo where we can see beautiful Vesak lanterns peacefully.

Head to the Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya or the smaller temples in the Borella and Kotte residential areas. They are beautifully decorated with handmade bamboo lanterns by the local youth, and you will not have to fight through thousands of people to enjoy the serene atmosphere.
