I am on a wellness trip Can I ask my local homestay host to cook me a traditional Ayurvedic detox diet without heavy spices

Yes but you must be very specific Traditional Sri Lankan food relies heavily on coconut milk coconut oil and roasted spices If you want a plain detox diet ask them for simple boiled vegetables Kola Kenda herbal porridge and clear broths They are incredibly accommodating but you must request it the day before
