Secret hidden gem hiking trails to Ella waterfalls

Yes! Take the hiking path towards Kithal Ella waterfall. It is a hidden gem tucked into the jungle right off the railway tracks, just before the steep hike up Ella Rock. Because it requires a bush hike, tour buses cannot access it. The pool at the base is very calm during the dry season and perfectly safe for a secluded, quiet swim in the hill country.
No, absolutely do not cliff jump anywhere in Ella. The rocks are jagged and hidden just below the water surface.
Secret Waterfall (that is its literal name on maps) is another great one deep in the tea estates.
If the water looks brown and muddy, do not swim. It means heavy rain upstream and flash floods could happen.
Kithal Ella sounds exactly like what we want. We will hike it tomorrow.
Bring leech socks! That specific trail is very damp and the leeches are everywhere.
