Mostly short showers, not all day rain. Light rain jacket or even just a cheap umbrella from a shop here is enough. Most days are still sunny and hot. Don't overpack for rain.

Yeah afternoon showers common but not constant. Light layer is fine. You'll be okay with minimal rain gear.
