Stay the extra night for the Friday day parade or bail after Thursday's Grand Randoli
We can stretch to Saturday morning if it is worth it. Everyone says Thursday 27th is the one. Then there is a water-cutting in the morning and a day procession at 2.18pm on the 28th. Kids will be cooked after a week of nights. Do locals actually go to the day one or is it leftovers.

Thursday night is the one you flew for - longest, loudest, fullest. Friday afternoon is daylight, shorter patience required, you can actually see the costumes, and you are not standing in a wet crowd at 10pm. If the kids are done, leave Friday morning and do not feel guilty. If you can hold a room, the day parade is the humane version and the city is already exhaling. Diya Kepeema (water-cutting) at Getambe is early and more ritual than spectacle.
We only had Thursday last time. Enough. I would not blow another hotel night if the next flight is tight.
Nikini Poya is Thursday - veg menus, dry town. Friday is a normal-ish day plus a 2:18pm procession. Traffic still stupid until it passes.
