I am heading to the East Coast next week. Are the seven hot wells at Kanniya open to the public and are they actually used for healing.

The Kanniya Hot Springs are open daily from 7:00 AM. They consist of seven square wells, each with a slightly different water temperature. Locals have used them for centuries to relieve arthritis and skin conditions due to the mineral content in the water. I highly recommend visiting right when they open, before the intense Trincomalee heat and the local tourist crowds arrive.
