Paid a guy on WhatsApp. Met this morning: fairly strong 30-40 kmph in Trincomalee district, and a rough-seas note that names other coasts more than ours. Season is supposed to be now. Do we set an alarm or sleep in and fight for a refund at 9.

Trinco whale season is May-September; August is the point of coming here. Today's Met wind for the district is 30-40 kmph at times - that can dirty the bay or it can be a land breeze you barely feel at 5.30. The named rough-and-2.5-3 m swell is the south/west and Matara-Pottuvil south coast, not automatically Koddiyar Bay. We decide at 4.30 looking at the mouth. If we cancel, that is weather, not theft - ask for the next morning, not a speech.

We got pulled yesterday and went the day before. WhatsApp deposit is the August tax if you picked a cowboy. Use a hotel desk boat.

Other sea areas "fairly rough at times." Do not invent a Trinco gale warning that was not issued.
