Kithalella View Point is an incredible hidden gem just a short hike from the main Ella town. It offers breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the valley and Ella Rock without the massive crowds usually found at Little Adams Peak.
Pallewela Waterfall is a fantastic secret spot. Since the famous Nil Diya Pokuna is often closed for safety reasons, this secluded waterfall is the perfect quiet alternative for a peaceful swim.
You should definitely visit the Demodara Loop. It is a brilliant piece of colonial engineering where the railway track spirals under itself. Walking the quiet path to the viewpoint there is magical.

People outside stations offer to "help" buy tickets but charge large markups. They may buy cheap third-class tickets and sell as more expensive classes.
