I am renting my own tuk-tuk for 3 weeks. If the engine dies in the middle of nowhere, how do I get it fixed?

Tuk-tuks are the lifeblood of Sri Lanka. Every single village, no matter how remote, has a mechanic who knows how to fix a Bajaj 3-wheeler blindfolded. A spare part costs pennies. If it breaks, literally flag down the next passing tuk-tuk, and they will tow you to the nearest mechanic with a rope.

If you rent from a reputable agency like TukTuk Rental, they have a 24/7 WhatsApp support line. They will call a local mechanic in your area to come find you. Very stress-free.
