We want to see the traditional drumming and offerings. When should we arrive at the sacred temple.

The deeply sacred Thevava pooja ceremonies officially occur exactly three times every single day. There is an early morning service around dawn a mid morning service at half past nine and the most incredibly popular evening service which begins promptly at half past six.

The evening ceremony is universally considered the most spectacular and highly atmospheric. However it also attracts the most massive dense crowds of both local worshippers and foreign tourists. You absolutely must arrive at least forty five minutes early to successfully secure a good viewing spot near the inner shrine room.
