Kithal Ella waterfall is incredibly peaceful. The trail starts right along the railway tracks. You walk along the tracks past the Kithal Ella railway station for about ten minutes before turning off into the jungle.
It is much quieter than Ravana Falls. The water cascades down a beautiful rock face into a small pool. It is perfectly safe to visit and offers a great, secluded spot for a picnic.
Just make sure you listen carefully for train horns while walking on the tracks, and always step off to the side when a train approaches.

People outside stations offer to "help" buy tickets but charge large markups. They may buy cheap third-class tickets and sell as more expensive classes.
