Yes highly reputable balloon operators enforce very strict safety regulations. Children must generally be at least seven years old and uniquely they must be physically tall enough to see completely over the high edge of the wicker basket safely.

You are absolutely not permitted to hold a toddler or a baby in your arms during the flight as the landing impact can occasionally be bumpy requiring everyone to brace firmly holding the internal handles.
