The Sigiriya village tour is incredibly suitable for young children. In fact, it is often the highlight of a family trip. Kids absolutely love the slow, bumpy ox cart ride and sitting in the peaceful boat on the lake.
The entire tour is mostly flat walking or sitting, so it is not physically exhausting for toddlers, unlike climbing the massive Sigiriya rock itself.
The cooking demonstration is very interactive. The village women often let children try scraping the coconut using the traditional tools or help grind the spices, which keeps them highly engaged.
