In wildlife safaris, absolutely nothing is guaranteed, but Udawalawe National Park boasts one of the highest densities of wild elephants in all of Asia. Because the park consists largely of open grasslands surrounding a massive permanent reservoir, your chances of seeing at least a few elephants, if not massive herds, are essentially 99 percent on any given day, making it the most reliable park on the island.
