We are heading to Arugam Bay in November. I know it is the off-season for surf, but are the seafood BBQs on the beach and the famous Saturday night parties still happening.

By November, the northeast monsoon brings rain and ruins the main point wave. Because the surfers leave, 80% of the restaurants and clubs board up their windows and close for the season. You will not find the massive beach raves at Mambo or Whisky Point. A few local places stay open for fresh seafood, but the vibrant party scene is completely dead until May.

If you want surf, seafood, and parties in November, you absolutely must go to the South Coast (Weligama/Mirissa) instead. The season flips!
