In December, Dickwella beach is primarily known as a very calm, safe swimming beach protected by sandbars and reefs, rather than a surfing destination.
Dickwella is perfect for relaxing after your surf session in Hiriketiya, giving you the absolute best of both worlds within walking distance.
If you want to surf, you simply walk fifteen minutes over the headland to Hiriketiya bay, where you will find excellent, consistent waves for both beginners and advanced surfers.
