Most guesthouses and hotels in Kandy are very accommodating and will let you keep your board bags securely in their luggage room while you explore the Temple of the Tooth and the lake. There are no public lockers big enough for boards at the train station.

Our hostel let us slide our boards under our bunk beds, so that is an option too.
