I love night markets. Are there any good ones in Colombo, Galle, or elsewhere that locals actually go to?

Colombo has a few: 'Good Market' on certain evenings, 'Colombo Night Market' near Galle Face sometimes, and the area around 'Pettah' has great street food at night. In Galle, the Fort has some evening pop-ups but it's more touristy. Kandy has a nice night market vibe near the lake on weekends. For authentic, ask locals where they go for 'short eats' in the evening.

The real night food scene is in smaller towns - roadside kottu places and 'bites' shops that open after 7pm. Not fancy markets but excellent food.

Will explore the local short eats scene then. Thanks.
