The street food carts at Galle Face Green are generally highly safe and completely delicious. The turnover is incredibly massive every single evening meaning the food is constantly cooked fresh and never sits out for long. Stick strictly to items that are deep fried in blazing hot oil right in front of you like crispy crab vadai or piping hot samosas. The extreme heat instantly kills any bacteria. Just absolutely avoid any pre mixed cold salads or drinks served with ice cubes to ensure a perfectly safe authentic experience.
