The SS Orestes is an absolute must dive site. It is a massive steamship that sank in the 1800s resting on a sandy bottom near Galle. The wreck is entirely encrusted with vibrant soft corals and swarming with massive schools of tropical fish.

Another phenomenal dive is the Rangoon wreck. It sits completely upright in pristine clear water. Because these are deep wrecks they are strictly recommended for advanced certified divers only. The visibility is usually best between December and March.
