Yes, the Dehiwala Zoo has a dedicated big cat section featuring African lions, Bengal tigers, and the native Sri Lankan leopard. To see them active, you must visit either right when the zoo opens at 8:30 AM or late in the afternoon around 4:30 PM. During the intense midday heat, they will usually be sleeping completely hidden in the shade of their enclosures.
