Ethical shore-based dolphin or whale watching spots (from land, no boats)?
I want to see dolphins or whales from shore without boat tours. Any good, ethical spots?

Some coastal areas, particularly on the east coast and certain south coast spots, allow shore-based observation of dolphins and occasionally whales, especially early morning or late afternoon. Local knowledge helps identify current reliable spots, as marine life movement varies. Using binoculars or a spotting scope enhances the experience. The key is choosing operators or locations that prioritize minimal disturbance. Some areas have natural vantage points where marine mammals can be observed from land without boats approaching them. Always follow local guidance on respectful viewing distances and behavior.
Early morning and late afternoon are usually best for shore observation. Local boatmen or fishermen often know current reliable spots.
