Finding last-minute deals or better off-season rates in Sri Lanka?
I'm flexible with dates. How can I get better prices on hotels and activities?

Shoulder and low season (May-Sep for south/west, depending on region) often have significantly lower rates, sometimes 30-50% off. Contact hotels directly via WhatsApp or email and politely ask for their best rate - many will offer discounts for direct bookings, longer stays, or last-minute availability. Booking platforms sometimes have 'secret deals' or last-minute discounts. Be flexible with exact dates and locations. Avoid peak holidays (Christmas, New Year, Easter, local festivals).
Many smaller guesthouses prefer direct bookings and will give better rates than online platforms. A friendly message saying you're flexible can open doors to good deals.
