For a goofy footed intermediate surfer, the famous Hiriketiya left point break is an absolute dream. It breaks over a shallow reef and peels perfectly into the bay, offering incredibly long, highly carveable rides.

Because the left is so perfect, it gets extremely crowded with highly skilled locals and expats. You must observe strict surf etiquette and wait your turn patiently in the lineup.

The right break on the opposite side of the bay is generally much shorter and closes out faster. It is fun for quick drops, but the left is universally considered the world class wave of the area.
