We want to take the local public bus from Colombo to Galle. Do we need to buy tickets online or pay cash directly on the bus.

You absolutely cannot completely buy standard local red government bus tickets anywhere online. You simply securely actively board the bus and a dedicated conductor will aggressively weave through the heavily crowded aisle to precisely completely collect your exact physical cash fare.

Always highly meticulously perfectly ensure you actively purely carry very small local coin denominations and tiny paper notes. The incredibly busy conductors rarely successfully have sufficient exact change for massive large bank notes especially during peak morning travel hours.
