I want to see the northern coast but I am worried about the heat. Is it worth going now to avoid the crowds at the main tourist sites.

April is actually quite hot but very vibrant due to the Puthandu celebrations on April 14. Visiting now is a great way to experience the northern culture without the massive crowds found in the south. The city slows down for family traditions, giving you a chance for genuine connections. Just stay hydrated and plan your sightseeing for early mornings or late evenings when the breeze is cooler.
