I want to see the Red Mosque and the busy markets but I am worried about the chaos. Any tips for a first timer.

Pettah is safe but overwhelming. Dress modestly to respect the local culture, especially when visiting the Jami Ul Alfar Mosque. Keep your bag in front of you due to the crowds. The best way to navigate is to embrace the chaos and walk with purpose. If you feel lost, head toward the Khan Clock Tower which is a central landmark.
