Is it safe to eat cut pineapples on the beach.
The vendors sell beautiful pineapple slices with chili powder. Are they hygienic.

Eating pre cut fruit on the beach is generally considered the absolute fastest way to contract a severe stomach bug. While the pineapple itself is perfectly safe the vendors often rinse their cutting knives in a single bucket of unfiltered tap water all day long.
If you desperately want fresh fruit you must buy a whole uncut pineapple from a market stall and slice it yourself back in your hotel room using a clean knife. It is entirely not worth the risk to your holiday.
Furthermore the fruit often sits exposed to the hot tropical sun and flies for hours before it is sold creating a perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
