Is it safe to go night hiking on Hanthana Stage 1 of the Pekoe Trail?

Night hiking on Hanthana is currently discouraged due to an increase in wild boar and leopard movement reported by the forest department this month. Camping is strictly prohibited on the Pekoe Trail to preserve the ecosystem. For the best photography, we recommend reaching the first ridge by 5:30 AM for the blue hour and staying until shortly after sunrise. Please be back at the trailhead by sunset for your own safety.
