We want to hike to the top of the waterfall. Are the natural pools deep and safe.

Yes, hiking to the upper pools of Diyaluma Falls is highly recommended and incredibly rewarding. The series of natural infinity pools at the top offer panoramic views over the valley and are perfectly safe for a refreshing swim.

To reach them easily, take a tuk tuk from Koslanda to the upper trailhead. It makes the hike down to the pools much shorter and less exhausting than climbing from the very bottom.

However, you must exercise caution near the very edge of the drops. The rocks can be slippery. Do not attempt to swim close to the main ledge where the water plunges down.
