Is it worth climbing Ambuluwawa Tower if it is raining?

The forecast shows rain for tomorrow. Should we still try to climb the tower, or is it too dangerous/cloudy?

Skip it. If it is raining, the tower will be enveloped in thick white fog and you will see absolutely zero view. More importantly, the narrow, exposed spiral stairs become incredibly slippery and dangerous when wet.

I did it in light drizzle. It was terrifying and the wind almost blew my phone out of my hand. Wait for a clear day.

If you are stuck in Kandy in the rain, go visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens instead. The trees provide some canopy cover and the orchids are beautiful indoors.
