Is Yala Block 2 better than Block 1 for avoiding massive crowds.

We hate being stuck in jeep traffic jams. Should we specifically request to go to Block 2 instead.

Yes Block 2 is infinitely quieter and beautifully secluded. Because the challenging deep river crossing physically deters the vast majority of cheap standard tour jeeps you will experience a highly peaceful deeply authentic wilderness adventure completely free of traffic jams.

Just be fully aware that while Block 2 is completely wonderfully free of crowds the actual mathematical density of leopards is slightly lower there compared to the highly concentrated Block 1. It is a brilliant trade off between guaranteed sightings and absolute peaceful solitude.
