Jaffna hostel culture and finding the best local Odiyal Kool

We are staying in a hostel in Jaffna. Is it easy to find authentic Odiyal Kool seafood soup, or do we need a local to order it for us.

Odiyal Kool takes hours to prepare and uses Palmyra tuber flour. Normal restaurants do not have it ready. Ask your hostel manager to pre-order it for you a day in advance from a local place like Cosy Restaurant.

It is incredibly spicy, so be prepared! It is definitely a communal dish best shared with hostel mates.
