Landing 1am - how do we not get wrecked on the CMB taxi?
Flight hits CMB at 01:10. Two of us + backpacks to a Fort hotel. Prebook USD 24 sedan, airport counter looks like 8,100 LKR, PickMe might surge. What is the least-annoying 1am option?

Airport runs a prepaid taxi counter with a card on the board. Figures going around this year: Colombo Fort / Kollupitiya / Cinnamon Gardens LKR 8,100 A/C, Negombo 3,780, Kandy 21,384, Galle 23,328, Sigiriya 28,188. Extra km about 130. Confirm on the board that night, they revise the card. At 1am I would just pay the counter and sleep.
1am I paid the counter. PickMe wanted a local number and the SIM queue was closed. Next morning SIM + app.
Route 187 airport bus is the cheap one, guides say about LKR 325, 24h, if you are not dead and bags are light.
Prebook USD 24 is not crazy versus 8,100 LKR if the driver is actually there with your name. Counter is the no-argument option.
