Can you hike up into the Dondra Head Lighthouse to get aerial telephoto shots of the surfers at the nearby breaks.

The Dondra Head Lighthouse is currently managed by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. Sometimes the keepers will allow tourists to climb to the top for a small tip, but it is not officially guaranteed. If you do get up there, it is the highest lighthouse in Sri Lanka and offers unparalleled, sweeping views of the southern ocean swells hitting the coast.

The breaks directly near the lighthouse are mostly massive shore-breaks with no surfers. You need a huge lens (600mm+) to shoot Madiha or SK Town from up there.
