Heard mixed. Anyone been recently? Is it ethical or skip?

It's big and can feel touristy with the crowds and shows. Some people like seeing the elephants but others say it's not the best experience. If you want ethical, better do a proper park safari and see wild ones. Pinnawala is convenient but mixed reviews lately.

Yeah lots of people skip it now for ethical reasons or because it's crowded. Safari in Yala or Udawalawe is usually more rewarding.
