Police just warned about keys-in-scooter thefts - we left the rental two streets back for the parade
6pm Newswire: spokesman saying people leave engines running and keys in, and stuff gets stolen from parked bikes. Ours is a rental 125 on a side street with the disc lock we remembered and the helmet we did not. Do we abandon the last 20 minutes of drums and go check or is that fear-mongering on a Perahera night.

The briefing is about negligence - keys in, engine on, unlocked gates - plus documents left in the boot. A disc-locked rental on a watched side street is the normal Perahera move. A helmet on the mirror is a gift. If you left keys in, go now. If you did the lock, stay; send one person if you are two.
Stolen vehicle = 119 / 118 / nearest station tonight, not Instagram.
Disc lock is on. Sending one person for the helmet. Not leaving the drums for a rumour.
