You are arriving at the absolute perfect time. Late April into May is when the Palu trees begin to fruit in Wilpattu. The sweet smell attracts sloth bears out of the dense jungle, making them highly active and visible during the day. Tell your driver to focus on the villu areas where these trees are abundant.
