If you want to be close to the parties at Mambos or Whisky Point but still sleep, look slightly inland. Places like Upali Beach Surf Resort or small family-run spots on the cross streets are much quieter, cheaper, and totally disconnected from the loud beach bar bass.

Avoid booking traditional family homestays right on the sand if you plan to come back drunk at 4 AM. It is very disrespectful to them.
