I want to base myself in Ahangama to surf Kabalana during the day and party at night What are the best stays that tolerate late arrivals from beach clubs

Look into Dreamsea or Camp Poe. They are massive surf camps built around the social party lifestyle. They do not have curfews, they have 24-hour security to let you in after Lamana or Trax close at 3 AM, and the surf instructors there will drag you out of bed for dawn patrol.

Avoid booking traditional family homestays if you plan to come back drunk at 4 AM. It is culturally very disrespectful to the hosts.

Lush is also a great spot right on the main strip in Ahangama for partygoers.
