Test toss is tomorrow at SSC - do not treat today as match day
Overnight someone in the family chat typed match today. It is Saturday. The 2nd Test is Sunday 23 at SSC 10:00 AM. Partner is already talking toss and a tuk to Colombo. I think today is 6:28 PM in Kandy and the toss is tomorrow. Confirm we are not the people who show up at SSC on the rest day.

2nd Test, SSC Colombo, Sunday 23 Aug 2026, 10:00 local, five days 23-27. Today is Saturday. There is no toss today. Asgiriya is not this Test. If they want cricket they travel Sunday morning, not now. Tonight is 6:28 PM.
Newswire's Saturday lead is FIFA Argentina, not SSC. Family who went for the toss on Saturday found an empty outfield.
Scam Watch: colombo
Driver claims the meter is broken and quotes an inflated flat rate. Common on arrival at airport or railway stations when tourists are tired and disoriented.
Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
