What is the best time for a leopard safari in Wilpattu?

Wilpattu is famous for its villus or natural lakes. Leopards are most active during the very early morning at six and late afternoon around four thirty. A full day safari is highly recommended because Wilpattu is the largest park in Sri Lanka and it takes time to reach the deeper zones where the big cats are less disturbed by vehicles. Bring binoculars for birdwatching near the lakes during midday.
