Is it too hot or rainy for a good safari experience. Will the animals be hiding.

April is generally incredibly hot and deeply dry in Wilpattu. This intense drought actually brilliantly forces the majestic animals to congregate tightly around the remaining natural lakes called villus making wildlife spotting remarkably rewarding.

Make absolutely sure you proactively bring plenty of cold drinking water and wear light breathable clothing. The brutal midday heat is intensely fierce so early morning and late afternoon game drives are highly explicitly recommended.
