The incredibly spectacular highly famous river bathing sessions usually occur exactly twice a day specifically in the morning from roughly ten to twelve and again in the mid afternoon around two until four.

Dozens of magnificent elephants are paraded completely across the main road down directly into the wide shallow Ma Oya river. You can comfortably relax at the cafes perfectly lining the riverbank and easily take breathtaking photos of them splashing around.
