Doing a 2-day safari in Yala. Which block has better leopard sightings right now - Block 1 (popular) or Block 5 (more remote)?

Block 1 has more leopards overall and better infrastructure, but Block 5 (the new extension) has been producing excellent sightings lately with far fewer jeeps. If you want quality over quantity and don't mind rougher tracks, Block 5 is fantastic right now. Many drivers prefer it these days.

We did both. Block 5 felt more like real wilderness. We saw a leopard within 30 minutes of entering on our second day.
